How much should your logo cost?  What does it cost to hire a designer to create your logo for you?  Can’t I just get a logo from fiverr??

That’s a question I see all the time…  and the thing is, there is such a huge window there…

Instead of focusing on how much money you are trying to *save*, your best bet is to find the designer you’d like to work with, even if it’s a bit of a stretch for your budget.  Your logo is a huge investment in your business.  Regardless of how much money you spend.

It’s super-easy to find someone cheap on fiverr…..But you get what you pay for.

It’s also super-easy to find logos in the 5-8k range that are a-freakiing-mazing….

But you probably don’t need that since you’re not planning on being the next big huge brand like Virgin Mobile or Apple….

For people in the online, entrepreneur space, you’ll find logo design prices anywhere between $200-$2,000.00…. And a whole bunch in between.

You might find someone you really love at the lower end of the spectrum and can go for it right away… Or you may find someone that you love on the higher end and might need to plan your purchase for later.

The thing is, paying for a “quickie” logo is not going to serve you long-term. You’ll hate it. You’ll spend more in the long run trying to find the right designer.

Now if you’re just trying to throw something together for a quick promo, go with fiverr… or your neighbors kid who is in college for design…

But ask yourself, “What is the real purpose of my logo?”  It’s supposed to represent not only your brand and what you do but YOU as an individual.

Think Oprah.  Her logo design is very simple. Just an “O” for her magazine branch of her business and a handwritten script font for her Oprah logo.  It represents who she is and what she stands for.  She believes in herself.  She encourages YOU to believe in yourself.  Danielle Laporte’s logo is very similar.  As is Marie Forleo…  See the similarities there?

Another question to ask yourself is “How much will it cost my business and my credibility to NOT have a quality logo?”… Is it worth it?

“How much does having a cheap logo reflect on the quality of my business, service or product?”… Or does it matter?

But if you are building your brand, find a designer you love and stick with them. A good designer will not only be able to deliver a logo you love but will also be a great resource to lean on for your Facebook Ad graphics, your blog images, your e-books, your online course materials, etc, etc…

A good designer is so much more than a logo.
