Whether you’re still working your 9-5, doing your best to balance taking care of the kids and growing your business or some combination of the two, there are plenty of things you can do in 10 minutes or less to help move the needle forward when it comes to growing your business so you can finally have the freedom you’ve been craving.

1.  Brainstorm blog post topics

Take a minute to look at questions posted in Facebook groups, online forums, a Reddit “ask me anything” threads, etc.  Create a list of 5 blog post topics that answer some of those questions.

2. Share an inspirational or motivational quote on social media

This takes only seconds but helps keep your name, and therefore your business, top of mind for your potential clients.  You can create your own using Canva or PicMonkey or you can share someone else’s.  Either way, it is a great way to be inspirational & motivational and your audience will appreciate you for it.

3.  Help someone (for free!)

Do a search in your favorite Facebook groups, a hashtag search on twitter or IG or otherwise seek out someone that is looking for help in your area of genius.  Then reach out and offer to help them.  This can be a little snippet of advice, you can refer them to a blog post you’ve written, offer to hop on a quick call with them…  The possibilities are endless!

When you genuinely reach out to help someone without asking anything in return, not only does it make you feel good, it makes them feel seen & heard and that’s huge.  Do this a few times a week and watch your business grow!

4. Find a great stock photo

Already have some blog posts planned?  Then you’ll need some captivating stock photos for it.  You can use them to create Pinterest-friendly blog post headers, images to support the message that you’re sharing in your blog post and more.

5. Outline your next email newsletter

In 10 minutes, you can create the general outline to your next newsletter.  If you get the outline done in less than 10 minutes, spend the extra time on a paragraph or two.  Do this a couple of times a day and you’ll have your newsletter ready before your deadline.

6.  Ask for a testimonial from a current or previous client.

Testimonials are a great way to let potential clients know that you can help them achieve the transformation they are looking for.  Just getting started?  Ask one of the people that you helped for free for a quick testimonial.  It doesn’t need to be long and drawn out.  A simple “She helped me overcome xyz obstacle in no time!” is a great start.

7.  Read and respond to an email

I wouldn’t recommend checking your business email while you’re at your 9-5 but it only takes a few minutes to read and respond to one business email…  You can do this while waiting in line at the drive thru, on your lunch break… heck, even on the toilet!

8.  Share your freebie on social media

Create a list of URLs for your opt-ins in the notepad app on your phone.  Then when you have a minute, share your opt-in on your social media channels.  Keep a look out for groups and posts that encourage you to share your freebies.  Not only does this help you grow your list, it helps you stand out as the expert in your field.

9.  Connect with someone you’d like to work with and introduce yourself

If you are introverted like me, this might sound a bit scary… And it is!  But it’s so worth it.  Reach out across social media and just let them know that you admire them, appreciate them and look forward to getting to know them better.  Who could say no to that?

10. Brainstorm opt-in and freebie ideas

Look at your list of blog post topics.  What kind of download, PDF, checklist, audio or video would help them with the problem that your blog post solves?  Do you have an online course or workshop?  What content do you give to your students that you can use for an opt-in or free gift?  You might already have content created that would be a great download and all you need to do is hook it up!
